My friend Kimberly Nelson passed away on Thursday, March 31.
Kim was diagnosed with AML Leukemia on July 22, 2009. She battled through it and was in remission in March of 2010! But in December of that same year her cancer was back. Her body was worn out and done fighting. After three rounds of chemotherapy she fell into a coma and the next day she left us.
It was hard being in Texas and not able to be there and to
attend her funeral. But my prayers are with her family.
Having someone you know pass away really puts life into
perspective. It reminds you of the things that are important in life. It motivates me to be a better person and to live life to the fullest. To slow down, take time to notice the important things and to stop and smell the flowers.
