Earthquake! Well not really but that's what it felt like. There is construction going on which we are all really excited about! There is going to be a Public off leash Dog Park behind the Cache Humane Society. Although we are all very happy to see progress being made on it, the loud big trucks shake the walls at the shelter and send the animals going crazy! Needless to say that we are all wanting it to be done now

December 15
We made gingerbread houses tonight! It was a lot of fun and they turned out wonderfully. One of the things we had to decorate our houses with was Fruit Striped gum. Kristin opened it to use it and once she did and I smelled it and it "smelled like childhood"

December 14
Yesterday was my moms birthday! We had her dinner at Artic Circle and I ate some delucious sweet potatoe fries. We went home And opened presents. And in one of the presents she opened my dad put darts and balls in which he used as "packing msterial". Anyways my mom started throwing them at Grandpa and Grandma and of course they threw it right back. Needless to say there was a big mess to clean up when they were done!

In case you don't know, I LOVE my job. I am (now officially) a manager at the Cache Humane Society and I can't think of a better place to work. I love the people, the animals, my duties. I'm there everyday even when I'm not scheduled to be.
Today I went in to try and get caught up on some paperwork but that didn't happen. It was surgery day today, and we spay/neuter about 35 animals every surgery day we have. So I ended up holding the animals to keep them warm and make sure they came out of the drugs okay. Mind you that this is not complaining! I love to cuddle with them. The sweet dog was just a puppy when she was at the shelter and came back to get fixed. Last time I saw her she was less then 5 pounds. Now look at her! It's so fun to see the dog that you feel in love with, get adopted and then to see them come back a couple weeks/months later all happy, healthy and full of life. A lot of the time they remember me and it makes my day! It is also wonderful to get a chance to talk to the owners. To hear all of the cute stories about them and just how much they love their new addition to the family!

December 12
I was at work yesterday, putting away a dessert tree, when I saw myself in the mirror. I kinda stood there for a minute just looking at myself. Yeah I look in the mirror when I am getting ready but I never look at me. My first reaction was "Dang. I'm 21. When did that happen? When did I grow up? Where did the time go? I still feel like I should be in the 10th grade. I've done nothing with life." But then I looked again and for the first time in a long time I smiled, a real genuine smile, and was happy about where I am. I was happy about what I'm doing in life. I realized that I am happy with me. I know it sounds stupid but that moment was the highlight of my day.

I feel like I should be snuggled up like this too. It's been cold here lately. And it finally snowed today. The roads were terrible, even in my big green van.

Walt Disney World round 2
Yup you read that right, I got to go to Disney World again! Amanda and her mom both have their birthdays in November and they are two days apart. It was Allison's 50th birthday and she wanted to spend it in the happiest place on earth and I was invited to go along! As part of Allison's present from her parents they got her a room on Disney property. So I was lucky enough to stay in the Art of Animations Resort. It was a HUGE hotel and there were four different sections: Cars. Finding Nemo. The Lion King and The Little Mermaid.
We stayed in the Little Mermaid section. Our room was amazing, all decked out in pictures of Prince Eric, Flounder and Ariel! But the hotel room wasn't why I was there. After checking in I went to the Park! Allison and Amanda had gotten there earlier that day. The had also invited along a family that live near them. So the 7 of us were off to have a Disney adventure! We rode just about every ride in the 4 parks.
We also met about every character that we saw!
My two favorite guys I met were Gaston and Captain Jack Sparrow! Gaston was so much fun to talk to, he was so in character and so full of himself! The other was Captain Jack who comes from my favorite movie. I said at the beginning of the trip that if I met him then it all would be worth it! Lucky for us that I did. He even wrote me a little note :)
Another highlight of the trip was going to Animal Kingdom. It is by far my favorite park! I could post so many pictures of the animals we saw but I will spare you. But I decided that my dream job would be to be a keeper there. I got the chance to talk to one of the keepers while they were out feeding their bats. Oh my gosh what the perfect job! Also in the Animal Kingdom we went to a bird show and guess who was picked to help out in the show! I was so excited that they picked me. Gosh I just love animals.
But besides Animal Kingdom the rest of the trip was pretty great too. My friend Marty (who lives in Miami) came and joined in on the fun for a day too. It was so good to see her!
I spent half the day with her in Magic Kingdom, her favorite park, and on our way to meet up with everyone in a different park our tram got stuck on the tracks. Oh my goodness we sat there for a good 1/2 hour before we started moving again! But it was good to catch up and chat with her, and to have a breather from all the rides I was starting to get sick and that's saying something!
Speaking of getting sick, there was SOOOOO much good food there! You couldn't go anywhere without smelling something delicious or seeing something that you had to try!
We saw a couple parades, which I loved, and eat in Beast's Castle and it was amazing! It was so authentic there was even the West Wing where we eat our dinner.
So I am getting sick of typing but here are a couple more odd and end pictures! It was so nice to see Amanda Allison and Marty again and it was hard leaving. But life can't be all party and games.
