Thanksgiving

I love Thanksgiving. I love getting together with my family! Every year we go to my grandparent's (my Mom's parents) house in Layton. I love staying with them! i LOVE my grandparent's and learn so much from them :)
If you met my family you would understand where i get my loudness from! When my Mom's side of the family gets together it is a MAD house, and i love every minute of it! My grandparents had 7 kids and they now have 24 grandkids! Michael is the oldest and i am the second oldest! haha and i love it :)
Here are a few pictures i took over the weekend!
A few of the pies (we made these the night before)
My grandpa carving the turkey
Making the dinner!
One of the 3 tables all decorated for dinner! I think Dianne Kristin and I did a WONDERFUL job :)
the girl cousins doing hair and make-up after dinner
haha AH i let them do my hair and make-up! boy was that fun :)Time to break-out the pies..
...and the dessert!if you fall asleep on Thanksgiving expect to be woken up by getting whip cream put on your nose :) (you can see my BEAUTIFUL hair and make-up in this picture)As my Grandma would say "My oldest granddaughter and my youngest!" Paige is SUCH a cutiewe play LOTS of card games :)
my whole family is VERY competitive... and sometimes people get a little too excited about games :) this year Kristin (somehow in her excitement) hit the chandelier! Luckily nothing was broken... but Kristin is NEVER going to live that one down :)
Every year the day after Thanksgiving we take down her Thanksgiving decorations and put up her Christmas ones! I love it! it always get me into the Christmas spirit!
While there we were all reminiscing about last year's Thanksgiving! Last year the whole family got together (like usual) but there were 13 of us staying at my Grandparent's house. Thanksgiving morning their water heater blew out! We all took freezing cold showers, we washed our hands in cold water and we heated up water on the stove to wash the dishes (by hand) with! Boy, that Thanksgiving we were ALL thankful for hot running water and modern technology!
This year's Thanksgiving i was thankful for something entirely different. this year i was thankful for my trails and my difficult moments. The hard times in your life make you who you are! they have shaped me, they have made me aware of who i really am, what i believe in! I am thankful for them!
