Rain

i love the rain... i always seem to have amazingly wonderful days when it rains :) this morning i woke up, not very excited that it was Monday already. Threw on some shorts and a T-shirt and rode my bike to school. Shortly after arriving the weather decided it wanted to change. It started to rain! it was little showers on an off all day. When it was time for me to leave and come home it was raining cats and dogs :) at first i wasn't that excited because i had to go straight to work after getting home, and being wet for that long didn't seem all that inviting. But o well, there was no way around it, i was going to get wet... so i didn't even bother avoiding the big puddles! when i got home i was soaked head to toe and i loved every minute of my wet bikeride home! (you cannot tell very much by the picture but i was SO wet and cold, but enjoying it nonetheless!)
Wishing i didn't have to go to work and keep playing in the rain, i slowly put my bike away and started drying myself off. I was also saying a little prayer, thanking my Heavenly Father for the rain today! I will always have a place in my heart for rain, it reminds me of that special day 10 years ago when i was baptized. It rained that day aswell. At my baptism we sang the primary song "I Like To Look For Rainbows Whenever There Is Rain":

'I like to look for rainbows whenever there is rain
and ponder on the beauty of the earth mad clean again.
I want my life to be as clean as Earth right after rain
I want to be the best I can, and live with God again.
I know when I am baptized my wrongs are washed away,
and I can be forgiven and improve myself each day.
I want my life to be as clean as Earth right after rain
I want to be the best I can, and live with God again.'

I hope that on my wedding day, when my eternal companion takes me to the temple and we make covenants together and are sealed for time and eternity, that it will rain that day too.
I am thankful for Heavenly Father's little tender mercies he gives me daily. I am thankful for the rain.
